Job Summary: We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team in Latin America. Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, contracts, pleadings, and other written materials.
Conduct legal research to support case preparation, identify relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents.
Organize and manage case files, documents, and exhibits for legal proceedings.
Prepare and submit court filings, affidavits, and other legal documents as required.
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties to gather information and provide updates on case progress.
Schedule and coordinate appointments, hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
Collaborate with legal professionals to draft correspondence, case summaries, and other written materials.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic and physical filing systems for legal documents and materials.
Assist with administrative tasks, such as billing, timekeeping, and calendar management.
Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish, with an ability to communicate legal concepts clearly and effectively.
Proficiency in legal research databases, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant is a plus.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy.
Ethical and trustworthy with a dedication to maintaining client confidentiality.
Flexibility to adapt to changing case needs and priorities.
