Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Flexible)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to join our legal team. As a Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal professionals in various administrative and clerical tasks. The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to handle confidential information, and excellent communication abilities. The ideal candidate should have prior experience as a legal assistant or in a similar administrative role and possess a basic understanding of legal procedures. This position is open to both full-time and part-time applicants.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist lawyers and legal professionals in preparing legal documents, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Organize and maintain legal files, records, and documentation.
  • Conduct legal research and compile relevant information for cases and projects.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, hearings, and appointments.
  • Prepare materials and documents for court hearings and trials.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and external parties professionally.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing communication, including phone calls and emails.
  • Draft and proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
  • Manage administrative tasks, such as billing, timekeeping, and expense tracking.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar administrative role.
  • Associate's degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and basic legal procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and legal software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
